Lactation Consultant Mary Smart offers one-on-one consultations at Lotus and spends up to an hour with families to help them reach their breastfeeding goals. She also visits mothers at home if this suits the family’s needs best. Mary now offers Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for pain, nipple damage, blocked ducts and mastitis. This treatment can be done at Lotus or in the home.

 

LLLT has been used successfully in almost every area of human medicine where accelerated wound healing, pain relief, anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling effect is required.

This therapy has been used in conjunction with standard midwifery/lactation care in Germany, Austria, South Africa and Brazil and has recently been added to lactation care in Australia. LLLT is completely painless, takes little time and has no side effects.

 

Mary is available for one-on-one consultations every Wednesday at Lotus or in your
